Why Trafalgar? #7

Posted: March 20, 2011 in Uncategorized

Amy Addison-Dunne, a school student activist on 'why Trafalgar?'

Trafalgar Square, for hundreds of years has been a meeting point for political causes, including Chartist demonstrations all the way through to the anti-war demonstrations.

It is where some of the brave students during the demonstrations were kettled.

As this area is symbolic to activists -even though the governments over the years on numerous occasions have attempted to ban them- so therefore, we should add to the tradition of our struggle and camp out in Trafalgar, use the time to plan how we’re going to bring this government to its knees and, of course have a good time!
